Hello to all my sixth graders and their families.  My name is Yvonne Fisher and I have been teaching Social Studies at Baker for 16 years.  I have lived in La Porte for 27 years.  I love Social Studies, especially how history has impacted us today. Sixth grade social studies covers world cultures and geography. It is going to be a great year!

History Day

This major project is due Friday December 8, 2017.  Please ensure that your student is moving along on this and is prepared to meet the deadline.  Open house is tentatively scheduled for December 13 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.  This will be a come and go event. For the next two weeks I will be staying on Tuesday and Thursdays until 5 pm for the next two weeks.  Please note the time change, I have found that the students become very unproductive after 5 pm.
