Spirit Club
PURPOSE
- To encourage school spirit and pride at Baker
- To promote physical and mental development
- To develop lifelong values and skills.
OUR MISSION

Meets: 3:45-4:30 p.m. (after school) on Tuesdays

Student Book Club
James H. Baker Student Book Club is an organization led in collaboration with the La Porte Public Library. Ms. Keith, the La Porte Public Library Young Adult Librarian, will be providing snacks and books for students. Students will engage in a collaborative manner to discuss opinions about books and learn to listen to dissenting views while meeting new people. Activities planned include various crafts, going to local book conventions, and book raffles. There is no fee to join and students may try out the club at any time. Permission slips are available in the library and front office.
Meets: Every other Wednesday in James H. Baker Library, 3:50 - 4:50 p.m.

Student Council
James H. Baker Student Council is an organization in which students will work together to coordinate activities at Baker and its surrounding community. Members of student council will have the opportunity to correlate a variety of community service activities, organize and plan school spirit days, dances and determine ways to make our school a better place.
Meets: On select Mondays in the multipurpose room
